June 2008: Saatchi Gallery video artist of the day
2010: Designed a working prototype of a pico laser projector lamp to project my digital animated artwork and play my partners music compositions, you can see a video of it here :- http://thegewgawsiangallery.co.uk/video.html
Robert James Morey taught himself to master the creation of digital electronic music. Robert creates his work binaurally to specific frequencies that are believed to relax the mind and body with their natural resonances. Two years ago R.J created a new concept in the creation and listening to music he calls jigsaw music.
He creates a CDLP symphony and listens to it whilst composing a companion piece. Each sound different on their own and are then played back on four speakers in a sqare, like quadrophonic, but on two separate hi-fi systems, and the tracks can be played at random at any point to create hundreds of unique combinations of the two symphonies.
You can experience an online effect on our website where you will find a wall of tracks, and we suggest you set any one playing, then wait a little and start another, then another, and as many as you feel inclined to play simultaneously. Of course the true vortex effect can only be experienced on several hi fi systems, but this gives you an idea of the experience.
Robert has a back catalogue of over 100 hours of his music. Since 1984 we have collaborated on textile designs that sold internationally, and worked together in stained glass for several years and featured in several tv shows on our work together.
